Clean Options Plugin

This plugin finds orphaned options and provides an easy way to remove them from the wp_options table.

Error Reporting Plugin

Logs Errors to files and/or Sends Error Notification emails. Records Ping Errors and displays them in a dashboard widget.

Ping Watcher Plugin

The Ping Watcher plugin can catch up to 100 ping errors. These are displayed in both a dashboard widget and on the plugin's Settings page. Great for tracking repeated ping failures so you can clean up your ping list.

widgets.php Hack

This hack's goal is to stop RSS feeds in your sidebar from causing non-valid mark-up if they have a different character encoding.

Firefox GreaseMonkey Userscripts / Opera User Javascripts

The GreaseMonkey extension for the Firefox browser gives it's users a level of control over the web pages viewed in the browser. Opera now has improved XPath support. The GreaseMonkey Userscripts that are known to also work in Opera are indicated below.

Toot-O-Matic tutorial

The IBM developerWorks site offers a Java tool, the Toot-O-Matic, for creating tutorials from XML files. However, the download was not without problems. This tutorial, created using the "Toot-O-Matic" provides solutions for some of those problems, and also provides a new self-test feature. the Toot-O-Matic with Java 2 v1.4.2_05

Anti-SPAM

Encouraged by the WordPress anti-SPAM techniques' success at keeping away the SPAM robots, similar precautions are now also used to protect the phpBB2 forums. Part of this success can be attributed to screening a user's IP address against IP lists of known attackers.
